About the teaching program
What is it?
The Teaching Corps is an initiative targeted at making entrepreneurship an integrated part of university tuition by creating a corps of dedicated university teachers, who will go through training and coaching in order to combine the given disciplinary thinking and reach with entrepreneurial elements.
When is it?
The programme will be effectuated from October 2011 to June 2012 and activities equivalent to 14 days should be expected.
"I have become very motivated from participating in the Teaching Corps. The interdisciplinary team, the study trip and the seminars have given me new perspectives on my own academic field and have encouraged me to implement new case-oriented practice-based elements in my courses."
Ester Barinaga
Associate and Ph.D, CBS.
Member of the Teaching Corps
Why is it important?
Until now, teaching in entrepreneurship has only been offered as independent electives at the universities, which means that fairly few educators in the Copenhagen area, are familiar with teaching this subject. We experience relatively few examples where the essential principles and elements of entrepreneurship are integrated in the specific teaching of the academic field. Too many educators thinks of entrepreneurship as “an either or” - that’s a problem the Teaching Corps and Next Generation will solve.
Who is able to participate?
In order to enter the teaching programme, you need to consider your possibilities:
The idea behind the project is for every single educator to obtain general entrepreneurship tools, which can be implemented in their courses. In relation to this, they will learn how to incorporate entrepreneurial elements into the type of didactics associated with the given domain’s specific course.

In order to enter the teaching programme, you need to consider your possibilities:
- The selected teachers have to be full professors or associate professors from one of our three partner universities (DTU, KU and CBS) in order to get one of the 6 pre-paid seats.
- Furthermore, we are granting a few more seats for educators from other universities. This, however, calls for entrainment of funding, adding up to DKK 25,000.
